Bo and I have always had a special way of communicating. We communicate through music and movies...if I needed some dad time, on went the movie Tremors...when it came time to give me The Talk, he put on Paradise by the Dashboard Light by Meatloaf...want a Say No to Drugs song...Life in the Fast Lane by the Eagles. If we were on a long drive, the first song to come on was Hotel California, and the best was when he heard the song, More than Words, by Extreme...not realizing it was Heavy Metal, he went out and bought the tape...needless to say that tape was given to me real quick!

The song that will always mean the most to me is Stewball by Peter, Paul and Mary. Bo would sing this to me before bed, and if I was spending the night with he and Linda, he would pull out his guitar and sing me to sleep.

He loves to make me laugh and always encourages me to breakout of my shell...even if he is doing the Flashdance number to Maniac, ending with a flip over the couch right into my grandmother's glass coffee table! When he did that, I thought he hung the moon...Nina, not so much at that moment!!

As I type this, I am remembering so many times where he got me in trouble, like encouraging me to jump on the bed...he didn't get caught, I did! Those times and all the weekends spent at the movies and arcade made my childhood awesome! While he may be partial to Batman and me Captain America, we can agree that those memories are priceless.

Enjoy the songs and thank you for taking the time to get to know my pops!
